Body and Mind
Living with respiratory conditions such as COPD or atypical asthma can affect many things in your life, including your mental health. Feeling tired and out of breath can lead to restrictions in what you can do, leaving you feeling sad or angry, and lead to depression.
People living with lung conditions can also experience anxiety, both about their health and as a reaction to breathlessness. Experiencing depression and anxiety together is also common for those suffering from long term health conditions.
At Steps2Wellbeing we use cognitive behavioural therapy to help you develop coping mechanisms for these feelings, changing your outlook on life and giving you more energy to manage your health conditions.
